Meet Stephanie

Hi, Neighbor!
I’m Stephanie Oddo.

Stephanie Oddo is an experienced leader and compassionate resident of Laguna Niguel running to be your council member. She is a mother, former public servant, and lifelong community volunteer. As your council member, she vows to use her experience and compassion to serve all residents of Laguna Niguel.

Stephanie founded Healthcare Mask Collaborative (HMC) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, using her lifetime of public service experience to help our community. HMC has distributed over 60,000 cloth masks to 150 organizations, including nonprofits, healthcare organizations, first responders and our military, such as the OC Sheriff’s Department, Camp Pendleton, USS Theodore Roosevelt in Guam. HMC pivoted towards the end of the pandemic to serve international communities in Peru, Guatemala, Venezuela and India.

Before Stephanie and her husband moved to Laguna Niguel to raise their family, Stephanie served as the youngest-ever elected council member in the town of Belleair, Florida. She helped guide the town through the 2008 Recession while maintaining a no debt policy, led an ad-hoc team to analyze police issues which resulted in a better performing police department and was appointed unanimously to the Pinellas County Planning Council. The Clearwater Chamber of Commerce recommended her to co-lead a state ballot land-use initiative, which was ultimately successful.

Holding a B.A. from Penn State University and an M.A. from San Diego State University,

Stephanie worked as a public relations and web consultant for local government, non-profits and businesses. Her business won clients like Microsoft Government, Maryland Department of Energy and NASA. She also served as Director of Internet Technology for a nonprofit in Washington, D.C. and worked for a small public relations firm where her main clients were the Department of Justice, city of Washington, D.C. and EPA.
